Concrete cover measurement is performed by using various non destructive tests such as GPS (ground penetrating radar), electromagnetic test, ultrasonic and radiography.

The most popular test is using electromagnetic energy such as ground penetrating radar equipments.
LMATS have a ground penetrating radar manufactured by JRC (Japan Radio Co., Ltd) model NJJ-95B which is predominantly used for most of the applications.

If specifically requested by the client, LMATS uses Hilti ferroscan PS200.
There are several other equivalent instruments available in the industry to perform this test.

LMATS offers concrete testing and scanning services from its Melbourne and Sydney testing laboratories.
