Focus Where It Matters

RBI

What Is RBI?

Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is an engineering-driven approach that prioritises inspections based on actual risk, not arbitrary schedules. Instead of treating all equipment the same, RBI focuses resources where failure is most likely and most costly, improving efficiency, safety, and compliance.

With AS 3788-2024 now recognising RBI, industries have a clear framework to justify extended inspection intervals while ensuring mechanical integrity.
